About Us
Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority that was founded in 1978 at Ohio State University.
​
Our goal is to cultivate women in agriculture through scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship amongst our members and community.
​
The colors of our sorority are emerald and maize. Our sorority jewel is Emerald and our flower is the yellow chrysanthemum. The mascot is the baby bull "Perry".
Over 19,000 Members Have been Initiated
Who We Are
Sigma Alpha is a member of the Professional Fraternity Association, a national organization of professional Greek letter organizations, and the Consortium of Collegiate Agricultural Organizations.
Our sorority and the Sigma Alpha Alumni Association are also a part of the American Agri-Women, an organization dedicated to increasing agricultural knowledge amongst communities.
